Worry is of the devil to cause us to keep our mind off Jesus.

On the contrary, it's a time when I pray my hardest, but concern is quite different to worry.
When I say it concerns me, you know what enters my head ?
Questions like, why don't governments make public transport better and cheaper so people use their cars less ? Why, here in the UK, don't they scrap car tax and put it on fuel ? The idea that a little old lady who might only use her car 3 times a week has to pay the same road tax as a taxi driver is baffling to me. Why are governments building more airport runways which in turn will send more polution up in the air ? Why don't people recycle more ? My Son calls me the recycling queen as I very often go through their bins and bring glass, plastic, paper home with me. My basic household rubbish is minimal.

So, concern about global warming ? Those are the concerns that enter my head, with an added prayer,, " please God, make these people see, you told us we are to be stewards of this planet, make them see that we have to look after this beautiful world you gave us because the world is a beautiful place, it's the people in it that make it ugly "

So, always concern with a prayer.

Know what doesn't enter my head ? That darn ole critter you just mentioned. ( I'm not even going to mention his name ) Know why ? Because I won't give him center stage. Because if I give him center stage all this faith and hope I have that God will finally get his message through about looking after this world will fly out of the window and I won't let anyone take that hope away from me. If I loose hope, I might as well give up. So I soldier on. I soldier on for my Granddaughter and the millions of children like her who are the future.


It really does baffle me that Christians who are speaking to the converted about keeping their minds on God even have to give that critter a mention. It seems counter productive to me. We know he's real, we know he exists, we know he's powerful and we should always be on alert but to say keep your mind on God, then mention the otherone ? Yes, I find it quite baffling. Even giving him a mention is putting the spotlight on him and he loves it ! Mystifies me why people would give him what he wants.
So you see Robert, until you just mentioned him, he was the furthest from my mind and right now he's laughing because yet again, he got a mention.

My point is things like evolution, global warming, are major weapons of satan's arsenal, think about it who brought out these things, man.

Not so many years ago we were being told by the 'experts' that the ice was building up on the polar ice caps and the earth was in danger of tilting and an ice age was imminent. This has proved to be not so. Now some scientists are claiming that we are causing global warming that will be our doom, whilst others are talking about the influence of sun spots. All I know is that scripture tells me that God is almighty and is in full control of events, to such a degree that he has prophesied a chain of events that lead up to the end and we, as Christians, will never be left or forsaken. Claims of global warming create fear of death and people panic. The truth is, none of us are going to leave this world physically alive, and as scripture tells us, the day of our death is better than the day of our birth, I can't see what all the fuss is about. The truth is fear is more profitable. I personally don't believe man is responsible for global warming, if indeed it were true. I believe it has more to do with the sun, then anything we could do

Thats a very good point actually. I mean, I know Jay Dub may not have meant it on a normal household level ( I apologise if you did ) but are there any parts of any country that offer bonuses or rewards for normal householders who do their best ?

That's true eddybear. But one of the arguments is that there was a warm period around 1000 years ago that was warmer than now. To quote from the second link I gave:

For example, some suggest that the ‘medieval warm period’, the 350-year era that started around 1000, when red wine grapes flourished in southern England and the Vikings tilled now-frozen farms in Greenland, was considerably warmer than even 1998.

This is inconvenient to the climate change lobby as there were no big CO2 emmissions then. So the charge is that the figures are being manipulated to support the claim that we are in a new situation. The science is being fiddled to match the theory of man made global warming.
