Default Do we worship the same God?

This must have been discussed many times before but I can't find a thread on it.

There are several religions, apart from Christianity, that believe in one God, for example Islam, Judaism, Sikhism. Do we all worship the same God? Or do you think the others worship a false god?

    What do you think?

Do we worship the same God?
    I would say no

If they do not believe in our triune God, then how could they believe in the same God
I first started to think the Jews believed in our God, but then thought if the rejected Jesus as Messiah, they certainly do not see him as God. They would see that as blasphemy.

How then can we say that even our Jewish brothers believe in the same God?

    That's a good question.

Do we say then that The Jews in the Old Testament worshipped a false god (and still do today)?

I see big problems is the line that having a defective understanding of God means we worship a false god.

Absolutely not! No other religion's god can compare to our God.

The Jews do not believe the same things about God as we do. They do not believe in the Trinity, or that God could become incarnate.

Does having incomplete or erroneous ideas about God mean that you are not praying to the one true God?

Steve these are really two different questions The old testament saints only knew God and they worshiped God in the way that was reveled to them

God has since reveled to us A clearer picture of who he is, God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Now today if the Jews reject this, who are they rejecting? If they are rejecting our God because they don't believe, then how can we call this the same God

If you reject Jesus you reject God, How can you reject God and worship him?

But if the Jews of today do not know the truth about Jesus does that mean they worship the same God as we do? Can you really say you reject Jesus if he has never been preached to you, or inadequately preached to you?

If Sikhs do not know about Jesus are they then worshipping the same God as we do? They believe in one God who is creator.

"You are the Creator, O Lord, the Unknowable. You created the Universe of diverse kinds, colours and qualities. You know your own Creation. All this is your Play." (Guru Nanak, Var Majh)

"The Formless Supreme Being abides in the Realm of Eternity. Over His creation He casts His glance of grace. In that Realm are contained all the continents and the universes, Exceeding in number all count. Of creation worlds upon worlds abide therein; All obedient to His will; He watches over them in bliss, And has each constantly in mind." (Guru Nanak, Japji)

I'm just trying to establish the criteria on which we say another religion worships the same God as we do, or does not.

    Romans 1:20
For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

Steve I understand your questions, but doesn't Jesus make it clear about those who don,t follow him

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Act 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

If these people are worshiping another God can they be saved, if not are they worshiping the same God?

As far as truly not knowing, God judges the heart
