Default The Prophecy of Habakkuk is for Today!

This prophecy shows that God permits evil, as happened to Judah, but I believe it speaks of the latter days...the days in which we live. When reading this chapter I was struck with how it is as reading current newspapers....

    Habukkuk asked the Lord

Habakkuk 1:1-4 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. O LORD, how long shall I cry, and Thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto Thee of violence, and Thou wilt not save! Why dost Thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
We see this happening all around us on local levels (in our families, schools, neighborhoods, cities) as well as on a national level...spoiling, violence, strife and contention. We cry to Him....does He hear? If not....why?

It is interesting to me to see, "the wicked compass the righteous...therefore wrong judgment proceedeth." In our nation that has never been more evident than today. Our political system and courts make decrees that are ludicrous and...their judgment stands. Common sense has been turned upside down...the wicked compass the righteous and the law is slacked...is feeble.

    Our Father answers Habakkuk

1:5-6 Behold ye among the heathen (non-believers), and regard (pay attention), and wonder marvelously(be astounded): for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you. For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not their's.
Who are the "Chaldeans," the "bitter and hasty nation?" Who marches through lands today...taking what isn't theirs? Who has invaded Europe...France, England, etc. setting up worship places to their god...all with the approval of the governments? Who, at this very point in time, is being given permission (by our leaders...the wicked compassing the righteous) to build a mosque near the site of the very towers they destroyed...the site where thousands died at their hands because of their god? They are marching and possessing what isn't their's.
1:7-9 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves. Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat. They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
Deuteronomy 28:49-50 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
1:10-11 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it. Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

    Habukkuk answers

1:12-14 Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, Thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, Thou hast established them for correction. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest Thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he? And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
    Proverbs 30:27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
2:1-3 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

The vision was for an appointed time. Was that time 9/11/01? What tower(s) are we, as His witnesses, set upon to watch? When the towers fell did you know that something had changed...forever? He warned, "regard and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you." He told us...do we believe?

    Hi Dan,

The prophecy does indeed concern Israel....The question is....who is Israel?

Do you not see both the Habakkuk and Timothy prophecies in action today?

I was struck by how it was happening in the churches.

    Habukkuk asked the Lord

The violence of suffering a thief to break through as God permits the strong delusion for believing the lie that there is another "Spirit" to receive that comes with evidence of tongues. The violence of suffering that thief to break through also can be seen in those that are "slain in the Spirit" when they seek to receive the "Spirit" in that same format in seeking tongues that comes with no interpretation.

What law is slacked? The commandment of His invitation: John 14:6 Jesus rebuked those doing all those wonderful works that profess Him by saying that He knew them not whence they are: Luke 13:27, inferring to the direction they came in approaching God the Father not by way of the Son: Luke 13:24 & Matthew 7:13-14 but by way the Spirit which no invitation was given by Jesus to do so, and is after the rudiment in the world in how they seek after spirits. This is a direct violation of the commandment of His invitation and thus the consequences of Him not knowing them: John 14:6-7

    Our Father answers Habakkuk

Ironically coincidental that those that suffered such violence in the churches are receiving a tongue that they do not understand? Also.... these seducing spirits are possessing dwellings that are not their own since these believers were bought with a price and sealed as His when they came to and believed in Jesus Christ. Does Psalm 81 also depicts the present day distress?

It was the year 1994 when the "holy laughter" movement and "Promise Keepers' movment" went nationwide across the denomenational churches. Hereby the Lord has shown me that He cast forth two plumblines across the nation to see whom will depart from faith to resort to their own power PPromise Keepers') and chase after other gods (holy laughter).

The plumblines has shown the falling away of the faith and why judgment will fall on the House of God first at the pre tribulational rapture event so that Our Good Shepherd will restore the wayward believers that will be left behind to the path of righteounsess for His name's sake so the foolish virgins will have oil for their lamps and will be shining as the prodigal sons will be returning for they are still sons, albeit missing out on the Marriage Supper of the Lamb wherein there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth for they will be forever damned as a vessel unto dishonour in God's House as opposed to the elect of being the vessels unto honour in God's House.

Still, while the doors are still open for the Marriage Supper: the call to every believer that name the name of Christ is to depart from iniquity so by looking to the author and finishewr of our faith that He will help them lay aside every weight and sin that so easily besets us so we can be that vessel unto honour in God's House: 2 Timothy 2:16-26
A divided hope is an insecure hope and thereby lacking the necessary assurance for that singular hope to be hope.

Let nothing divide your hope in Jesus. Colossians 1:20-23
