Thread: How was PAUL Saved ? Acts 9:6 , 17 and 18 ?

    Default How was PAUL Saved ? Acts 9:6 , 17 and 18 ?

    Hi to all , and a simple question,and it is this ;

    How was PAUL saved ?

    #1 , Was he saved by the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom , Matt 3:2 ??

    #2 , Was PAUL saved by what Jesus preached , Matt 4:17 , but that looks like what John preached !!

    #3 , Could it have been by the preaching of ther 12 using Matt 28:19 ?

    #4 , PAUL was saved under the preaching of the Risen Christ Himself in Acts 9:6 !!

    #5 , So , how was PAUL Baptized ??

    #6 , And verse 17 and 18 say that he was Baptized ??

    #7 , IF , it was Water , but I am not saying it was WATER , what was the MODE , Pouring , Sprinkling , or Washing , but what of immersion , even where thier is no Greek word for Immersion ?

    #8 , Was it salvation of the Law , and the Gospel of Heaven ?

    #9 , OR was it by Grace ??

    This is just one of the bible PROOFS that the Body of Christ began with PAUL .

    In Acts 9:6 , Paul said , LORD , what will thou have me to do ?

    Paul called Him the LORD / JEHOVAH /KURIOS , and 1 Cor 12:3 , " and that NO man can say that Jesus is the LORD but by the Holy Spirit and that means that Paul was saved in Acts 9:6 , by the Grace of God and the first member in the Body nof Christ .

    I would say the thief on the cross was the first save through faith in Jesus. then we have stephen and

    Act 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.

    Hi Jay Dub , and Faith in Hebrews 11:20-40 shows how faith was important in the old testament and even the one on the cross .

    Paul, didn't say "Jesus is the Lord"

    He didn't know it was Jesus speaking to him. He assumed it must be the God that he knew (Yahweh), not that it was Jesus.

    So your conclusion is false.

    Also what definition are you using for the Body of Christ?

    I initially thought this when i read this thread earlier, but then i thought how could he have been saved at that point in time? i didn't think anyone was actually saved until after Jesus was crucified, until then how can the blood of the lamb say have washed the sins away? is being in paradise a given that you are saved?

    Remember they had to break the thieves legs so that they would die quicker, when they checked Jesus he was already dead, so he did die before the thief's I believe then it is possible for the thief to have been save by faith and by the blood of Christ.

    I believe paradise is where the old testament saints went, so yes I believe being in paradise means they were saved

    That's a good point about the good thief. I've never seen that mentioned before.

    It is clear in Acts 9:4 Jesus says , Saul, Saul , why presecutest thou Me ??

    Then in verse 5 , Paul answers and he said , Who art thou LORD/KURIOS/JEHOVAH ??

    Then Saul gets a reply , I am Jesus whom thou persecutest ??

    I suggest you go back and read the text ??

    It doesn't matter what translation I'm using. Paul asks (to quote you) Who art thou LORD/KURIOS/JEHOVAH ??
    Paul does not know who is speaking to him so he is not acknowledging Jesus as Lord.

    Again to quote you, you said 1 Cor 12:3 , " and that NO man can say that Jesus is the LORD but by the Holy Spirit .

    Show where in Acts 9 Paul says "Jesus is the Lord".


    I would still like to know what your definition is of the Body of Christ and how someone becomes a member. Are you suggesting that saying “Jesus is Lord” saves you and makes you a member of the Body of Christ? If so I would like to know where in scripture it says that.
