Prov 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but thehonour of kings is to search out a matter.
What is essential is to live on Christ, the living bread, because physical bread is not enough. Jesus is the bread of eternal life, and He gives essential truth.
Consequently, the truth is known.
Then also there are the things of God that are blurred, until all is seen face to face.
Until that time there will always be disagreements, despite agreement that Jesus is all truth and has risen from the dead.
Its quite easy to google the history of this debate, that began from the early centuries AD.
There have been christians, with the view that the wicked will be eternally tortured. That dominated the mainstream of christianity, but around the early centuries time. Universalism has been popular and so has conditional immortality. It is not new and similiar to annihilation. Its a growing belief in christian circles. Many God fearing christians, such as Luther and William Tyndale supported conditional immortality. The champions of conditional immortality is easily googled, and makes an interesting read. It rejects the view that the human soul is innately immortal. For only God is immortal, and gives immortality through Jesus.
The main religions and greek philosophy, have believed that the human soul is naturally immortal. That has been the grounds for viewing perpetural punishments.
Yet forever is looked upon as the cause by some, and as the effect by others.
If forever pertains to mortality, then it pertains to the life span of mortality. If forever pertains to immortality then it pertains to the life span of immortality, which is perpetural.
I don't support any of these differences and like us all just want the truth.
Christians and atheists alike may believe sugar is sweet. That doesn't mean the atheist is a christian, and the christian is an atheist.
Most mainstream religions believe that the wicked will be perpeturally tortured. That doesn't mean they are christians, and it doesn't mean christians are other religions.
It doesn't make christians who believe in conditional immortality jws and sda,or make jws and sda christians.
The essential is Jesus is true and risen. Some other truths may overlap sometimes, but it doesn't categorise a person to belong to that group.
It aint good... and without the Lord for eternity it aint good, that's for sure.
Just thinking about it reminded of the verse in Luke:
And then I looked up in the strongs regarding those verses:Luke 12:4-5
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

I don't fully understand it all, I'd need to do a further study. There are so many views on it; overall, He made a way, He made it clear how much He loves us. Saying He doesn't love us and that He is not the truth.. well that to me would be hell anyway.
