| The bible doesn't say you should not drink, it tells you it's a sin to be drunk. It also states that by doing something you may lead others astray. I would say drinking in moderation is not a sin. I would never drink alcohol in front of a child, an alcoholic or someone who could be lead into a serious drinking disorder. Therefore I find it easier not to have alcohol.

| I hope that the following verses help you to understand what the bible says about wine and drinking. In Jesus time wine could not be made that was not alchoholic to some extent. So to say that the Bible condemns alchohol is not true. It is the abuse of wine etc that is the problem. Eph 5:18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. 1Ti 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities. Ro 14:21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall. Pr 20:1 Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise. Isa 5:22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks,

| Agree with everybody here.... Everything except obedience to His Word, may or should be in moderation. Well left to the choice I now practice in moderation although at one point I practiced abstinence. If you ask me which I would recommend, I'd day abstinence because intoxication exposes one to immoral oppurtunities. ![]() Be Blessed |

| I agree with the above posts too, also what comes to mind, says in scripture somewhere, you are judged and fed by what comes out of your mouth not by what goes into it.
