| Greetings in the name of Jesus: ![]() " A little wine is good for the infirmities" Its not Wine or Alcohol that is wrong or evil, but our excess use of all things. "For all things are put on earth, for the benefit of man." And all things if abused or used in excess is a sin and evil. including Alcohol and wine. I pray my words do not offend, God bless all Christians in forum, and all those who use it. |

| Grape juice was preserved back then here are some ways. One method of preserving grape juice was to concentrate the juice by boiling it into a syrup. Stored in a cool place, this concentrate would not ferment. Adding water later yielded a sweet, unfermented grape juice. This was common in ancient times. Another way to have grape juice all year was to finely chop raisins, which are dried grapes--and then add water to produce the reconstituted juice. I dont beleive that Jesus drank alcohol at all. John 2:1-11 After people had already drunk all the wine Jesus provided another 120-180 gallons. If this "wine" was alcoholic , Jesus would have provided for excessive drinking. Proverbs 31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Nor for princes intoxicating drink Rev 1:6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Jesus has made us "kings and priests". Therefore if you believe Christians are kings and priests then it is not for Christians to drink wine or strong drink.

| 3 problems Savo Even from the days immediately after the flood Noah got drunk , you have 3 flaws in your references 1 that passage in proverbs also says not to give your strength unto women as who can find a virtuous woman ...so if you believe in living in the one verse you have to live in the other , The guests at the wedding feast( which extended to many days of celebration) involved in the miracle at Cana commented that the wine that Jesus produced was the best , now do you mean to tell me they would say that if it was not the best wine they had tasted so thats a no-no as well Because of the answer to proverbs REvelation 1:6 becomes irrelevant...and your deduction that we; the Church the body of Christ who are His Chidren in Christ; are the kings and priests referred to in Revelation 1:6 (a reference to the many prophetic writings or Israel e.g. Exodus 19:6 &1 Peter 2:9 )which I do not as the these churches can lose their salvation through their works and deeds There are too many passages referring to being drunk to explain away with non alcoholic drinks , even the apostles were accused in Acts 2 , so lets not get all superior and self righteous , there is no doctrine in the bible that prevents a saint having wine but there is with regard to drunkeness which we are told not get drunk . Of course if you do not want to drink alcohol thats fine as well , but there is no condemnation for those who do as long as it is in moderation , even the Nazarite vows included drinking a vessel of wine after the purification process ..check it out Numbers 6:20...so its the same wine referred to in Numbers 6:3 and you tell me whether the wine is alcoholic ??????? | The way I see it is this, In this word if a soldier drinks on duty it is a punishable offence, and a serious one at that. how can somebody under the influence of drink be allert and stand before the enemy. As a Christian we are never off duty! why would you want to let your guard down! common sense would tell you that it is not acceptable for a Christian to drink, before The LORD it would be a dereliction of duty, the enemy would love it and seize the oppotunity for a supprise attack. If you think he would not, you dont know the enemy. You woulnt drive a car when you drink (would you!!!!!)how do you think you can serve The LORD and drink at the same time. You cannot of course ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| I have every intention of having a glass of red with my Christmas dinner, then I will probably nod off for an hour. |
