| The parable of "the Prodigal son", or "the Lost son" Luke 15:11-32 sort of sums up my walk with God. I will keep this testimony short anyway. I became a Christian when I was a teenager, then only a few years later I fell away....doubted and rebelled. My version of God was not the Christian God, I still prayed sometimes, but stopped believing in a lot of the Bible. I had an interest in the Occult/new age. I was also interested in the paranormal, and supernatural. I was doing things which I knew God didn't approve of for example reading tarot cards, astrology, and the like. I could add here that my background led itself to me going down this path, but the truth is that I made my choices, and rebelled. Well, I was cynical about "the Church" but knew God was still there. I think at some level, I knew God was waiting for me, to come back to Him and repent. Then about 2 years ago, something happened in my life. I won't say what is was here, but it made me fall on my knees and pray like I had never prayed before. I looked to fortune telling and mediumship for answers, and guidance, but these where hollow "answers" and hollow "comfort". I wanted to be in control of my life - not God. I picked up my (dusty!) Bible, and started reading. I particularly liked reading Job, the Psalms,Proverbs,....then I read Deuteronomy 18:9-13 I could not argue with the Word of God. I was convicted of sin, and around this time started going to church too. What followed was ; lots of stubborness on my part, and lots of crying for what was happening in my life around this time. God also spoke to me so much through this verse... Job 28:28 I was scared of God, I knew I had sinned. I eventually repented and recieved God's Grace around this time of year 2 years ago. God is so great, he has been so patient with me, even though I have been so stubborn. He has helped me to come to terms with other things from my past, and I want to encourage you that God is always willing to forgive, and that He loves you.

| Amen Wabco! I think we all have some stubborness in us and still hang on to stuff that we don't need. God will continue to be faithful to us.

| Thanks Wabco- your testimony is very special. It sounds as if you went from one extreme to the other and back again. I am sorry that it took a crisis in your life to bring you down, but pleased that it brought you back. Butterfly
