Hi i havent really ever done this before

i really need prayer about what im going to do with my life..

the truth is that i wasnt a christian before, used to do drugs alot with the girlfriend i had..generally was a bad person..that was a couple years ago..age 13/14

i have changed so much, dont hang around with none of them, really want to do what god says.. but i have no sight to what will happen in my life.

i dont really ever sleep that much anymore ( its 4-35 in the morning lol ), and dont go to school that much.

im sort of scared about the future..my plan was to just join the army..but i want to go travelling..i will have barely any money but it would be great, and i could always get a job at times, stay for a bit and keep going

thanks if any1 could pray, would be really appreciated

thanks

Oh Kris I am so happy to read your testimony. If you give me permission I will move it to the testimony thread.

Oh boy have you got the ball rolling now Kris. I don't want to scare you, church you or bore you to death Kris. But I am capable of all that you know. Before we go into the 5 points I have taken out from you post let me ask you something. Do you know the purpose of man's existence? Have you ever asked yourself why you are living in this world and what the purpose of human life is? Nomatter what type of person you are or what your profession is, there are a few things which you, like most people would agree with, that is:

a. Money cannot satisfy man
b. Neither can education satisfy man
c. Nor can pleasure satisfy man
d. Nor can success satisfy man
Do you know why Kris? It's because you have not realized God's plan. God has a plan. This plan has everything to do with man. This plan is in our Bible. It explains the origin, destiny of man and as well as the meaning of human existence. Do you own a bible Kris? If you don't, please get hold of one and start reading. Please, please open your heart right now and quietly and carefully start reading your bible. Slowly but surely you will realize the purpose of man and begin a satisfied human life.
Ephesians 3:3-4How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
God's creation of man is different from His creation of all other things. He created man in His own image. A glove is created according to the likeness of a hand with the purpose of containing the hand. You cannot put your foot in the glove can you? Likewise, man was created in the image of God with the purpose of containing God. You are a vessel of God. God wants to be our content.
Romans 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory
It is no wonder that knowledge, wealth, pleasure, and accomplishment can never satisfy you.

Kris you are being blessed immensely. This is evident in the honesty of your testimony. You have confessed, your repenting and you want to be in obedience. What is most important in this juncture is that you need apart from a bible and reading the bible, a good church to go to for fellowship. This is the time satan is going to fight for you. He will hate losing you. You need believers to be with you. Maybe Gibby or someother members can guide you in this matter as soon as possible.

I can only write to you Kris as I am so far away. But I will give you a check list of, how to (1)become a good believer(Christian) and (2)how to live a believer's(Christain) life.

1. How to become a Christian
a. Recognize you are a sinner and hopelessly lost without God Romans 3:12; Romans 3:23
b. Believe that God sent Jesus Christ to take your place, die in your stead and pay the full penalty for sin. Romans 5:8
c. Confess that you are a sinner, guilty before God and hopelessly lost Romans 10:9-10; 1 John 1-9
d. Rely on God's promise, not upon your own feelings or theories. Romans 1;16
e. Declare and realize that you are saved by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ and the gospel, and that you are forgiven by God and cleansed from
all sin because you have met the terms of God. John 3;16; Romans 3;25; Ephesians 2;8-9; 1 John 1;9.

2. How to live a Christian Life
a. Believe the gospel and the entire Word of God at all times and walk in the light as you receive it. 1 John 1:7
b. Walk by faith in newness of life, not by sight or by feelings. Hebrews 10:23-29; Romans 6;1-23; Romans 8:1-13; Galatians 5:16-26.
c. Read the bible daily. Search it. Meditate on it to feed and nurture the spiritual life. Psalms 1:1-3; Psalms 119:105; 2 Corinthians 10:4-7;Ephesians 6:10-18; 1 Peter 2:2.
d. Pray to God daily as your heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, casting all your care upon Him. John 16:23-26; 1 Peter 5:7
e. Claim all the benefits of the promises of God, all He has promised. 2 Corinthians 1:20; 2 Peter 1:1-4.
f. Keep your mind fixed on God and grow in grace. Isaiah 26:3; Jude 20-24
g. Recognize your weakness at all times as well as God's strength. 1 Corinthians 10:12-13; 1 Peter 1:5;
h. Confess Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Mathew 10:32-33
i. Avoid temptations and shun evil companions. Psalms 1; Proverbs 1:10-16;
1 Timothy 4:6-16. Resist sin and satan James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8-9; make friends with God's people. Romans 12:1; 1 Corinthians 13.
j. Attend church regularly. Hebrew 10;25
k. Seek God constantly for the full anointing of the Holy Spirit and yield and obey the Holy Spirit at all times and all things. Luke 11:13; Luke 24:49;John 7:37-39; John 14:12-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38-39; Romans 12

Kris your start is very good as you can see that you have decided and are already following most of the points mentioned. Keep it up Kris.

Always remember that faith is the victory that overcomes the world. 1 John 5:1-4

And Kris it would be a good idea if you could follow Robert's Bible Study Threads. It will be very helpful to you because Robert has a way of putting the teachings in a very simple way. You can study more when it is taught in simplicity. Please try to interact with Robert as much as you can.

Kris I'm a 66 year old street musician, the reason I became one in my early twenties, is because it gave me the freedom to travel and eat. It's a faith life, you trust tomorrow will provide your need. I never put it down to the Lord, but to providence. I now know however, that the Lord was behind it and in fact instigated it all. The reason I'm sharing with you is because I sense a fellow adventurer. Not everyone has the personality to put themselves in the precarious positions that street people do, but there are other ways to meet the same adventurous ends. All over the world there are young people serving God, there are hospital ships that travel the world performing surgery in the third world, there are youth projects that find fresh water for communities where water is scarce or building projects. If you have a heart for adventure, pray that God will open doors for you, and look for the opportunities as they arise. I never fitted into the worlds way of things, and I knew in my spirit, as soon as I played my first song on the street that I belonged there. Living outside the confines of accepted society offers no security other than the security of Jesus, but I've loved every minute of it. My wife and I would pile the Kids into the back of the van and take off to the south of France, Spain or wherever we happened to land. We've had a great life, that has given my wife a rich source of material for her poetry. Now I tend to not travel so much, 'cause I'm oldish, although I still play street music. Trust God in everything you do, he'll never leave you or forsake you. Talk to him in all situations, people call it prayer, but it's just talking to him as a friend, he's the best.

Wink First Step Taken

Kris thanks for sharing

It is indeed a very big step you have taken when you told us of the things you have done.

There are some people that can even admit it to themselves that what they are doing is wrong and therefore keep struggling because they don't have God with them.

Right now you are just like a baby taking his first step. You are putting one foot in front of the other and it will be those baby steps that will lead you to eternal salvation as long as you stay on the right path.
You will see yourself grow more and more and life will seem so much better for you.

Even though the saying goes that life is too short, it is never too late to find God and ask of him to open the door to get you on the right path.
And from what I can see here I believe that is what you have just done.
So with that I say Congratulations Kris and May God Be With You Always.

Sweetrainbow

I'd like to add, that people sometimes see alternative lifestyles as irresponsible, but I have four children that have been brought up for much of their lives on the road, two are married with children, I have a daughter who works and saves and then goes off to various parts of the world on her own. She has not long returned from Australia where she did 34 free fall sky dives, She's just passed her driving test and is now contemplating a trip to Nepal, My son is a grade 8 musician taking a degree in modern music. Our alternative lifestyle has produced some strong minded people who have all given their lives to Jesus. Bring your children up in the ways of the Lord and they will never depart from them.

Wink A Poem That's Just Right

Here's a poem that I just posted that I wrote last year that I believe will suit you very well.

Without God

Without God I'm unhappy
Without God I'm always feeling blue
Without God I have no answers
Not just any answers will do

Without God I'd have no guidance
On the right path I need to take
And without God to tell me
It's only sins I'd make

Without God I won't need worry
About what happens everyday
Because God is always with me
each and everyday

He has a very special Word
That he wishes all humans would come to know
But the humans that don't want to hear it
Will come to reap what they should sow

Without God I wouldn't be at peace
Depressed and very sad
He's the 1 true Savior
That makes me very glad

So I pray that whoever reads this
Believes in his Word too
Believes he is the only God
And know he's really true

He truly is a loving God
I hope that I'm saved at best
I'm very happy I found him
So I can be with him in my eternal rest

Sweetrainbow copyright 2007 Anna M.

I hope and pray that you will take these words to your heart like I have.
