Amen ... James thank you for giving your Testimony
Hello all.
I thought it might be good to start here by posting my testimony.
I was born in September 1981. My mother had had a series of miscarriages before me. I was also born very very ill, with heart and liver defects, jaundice and virtually deaf in both ears. Indeed I had to be resuscitated several times.
My first few years were spent with check ups and lots of operations on my ears to save/give me my hearing.
But I devoloped quite quickly and was walking and reading at the age of two.
I come from a non-Christian family, and have Jewish descent. The one time my mother actually prayed was a prayer that if I was spared and allowed to live she would give me to God.
So whilst at the age of two, I was walking along my local High Street with my mother and said to her 'What's that funny building there?' to which she replied 'It's a Church'. 'What's a Church?' I asked
She said 'That's where people go to talk to Go'. I immediately said to her 'Take me in there!"
So later that day she took me in and spoke with the Minister, and I starterd in Sunday school.
This went on, and I was baptised in 1991 at the age of 10, confirmed in 1998 at the age of 17, and made a concious decision to accept the Holy Spirit in February 2000 at the age of 19.
Of course there were times during my late Teens where I had 'better things to do', but my Heart has always remained close to the Lord.
25 years later, I am, apart from a hearing defect in my left ear, a fully healthy 27 year old, still in the same parish, a member of the Church Council, a member of the Prayer Ministry Team, and the Music Leader for my Church.
I am also in the Music Industry as a profession, and music is my main love, outside of my love for the Lord.
God has kept me safe, he has kept me well, and he has kept me His.
Amen!
Amen ... James thank you for giving your Testimony
GOD is soooo very GOOD. James, thank you for sharing your testimony.
Psalms 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. 3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Isn't our God wonderful
I heard the testimony of Jessy Dixon last night. He had asthma until his teens. He was taken to hospital with a serious attack and was on oxygen which was only giving temporary relief. His family gathered round his bed and committed him to God. He felt himself lying back inbed (which you cannot do with an asthma attack) When he woke he had no symptoms and has never had another attack. When He found his symptoms gone he started singing God's praise. (he could not sing before this) and he has never stopped since.
