Please clarify if you were a mason before you became a christian or if you were a believer in Jesus Christ, but afterward, joined the freemasonry.

Great topic, I was once a member of the Odd Fellows, and once you get inside and move up the ladder you find out, it is diffently not a Christian organization. I would call it a cult, the problem is you get indoctinated before you know out. I'm glad to say I got out quickly.

I have just been reading a book 'The Dark Side of Freemasonary' and find it very difficult to understand how anyone can parallel this with Christianity. The mason's may do a lot of charitable works but there always appears to be something in it for them, even if it only publicity. Satan does not move about this world as a firghtening ogre but as an angel of light - if he were to appear as he really is we would easily recognise him but his job is to confuse and distract from Jesus. Lots of organisations (and people) do good works but this is not how we are told in scripture that we enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

There is along history of things the freemasonary that is not Christian they have allot of wealth, and power, and influence in the high society, they are a secret society, I have offend wondered the same thing myself, because allot of our Presidents have been members and some use it as vote getters, my problem also is I believe Even President George Washington was a free mason. I was a member of the Odd Fellows who are suppose to be the brothers to the masons. As soon as I found out what they are about I quit. The Mason's are also connected to The Heritage Foundation and I could not even discribe what there ritual is to become one. It's disgusting but they have allot more power then people would believe. Both President Bush Senior, and Bill Clinton where members. So like you I'm puzzled about it to most likley some joined it just by mistake because there is allot of prestige that comes with it. What God would call Pride and that is a major sin.

If they were a secret society we wouldn't know of their existence. They are not a secret society, infact they are very open about their existence and membership, they are a society with secrets.
There is a difference.

the masons are the epithany of satan,they corner the market of businesses like a racket,ie gang membership.then when they clean up all there money,give a bit to charity and milk the praise to look good.

it would be like a mugger making a million then giving 10% to charity to look like a really good fella.

Yes your right when I was in the Odd Fellows, there secret levels of growth in there group and passwords and such were secret.
