My Visit In Texas

On the 7th I was sent to San Antonio TX to help out with the storm in the golf. Out company sent out 12 buses. We got as far as Perry OK. the first night, and arrived in Kelly USA (San Antonio) about 6pm for inspection there. We spent the night there and the next morning we where sent out to some towns near the coast. I was chose to have 2 paramedics on my bus. We went to a small town called Alice TX. Out of 5 buses sent there only one bus took people back to Kelly USA. The rest of us were sent to Beeville TX where we spent the night there. We had to stay with the bus at all times, day and night. Let me tell you all, it is not fun trying to get a good night sleep on a bus. The next 2 days we where sent to Houston, we didn’t have any takers there for a ride away from the storm. I then took about 12 paramedics back to Kelly USA. There is where I spent the rest of the 13 days I was gone. I didn’t see any of the damage of the storm there; I didn’t want to see it anyway. We set there just in case. We wondered most of the time what case we where there for. Just like the Government they waited till 8pm to send us home after we where up all day. The good thing about that I got to stay with my brother on they way back the first night in Killeen TX. I had breakfast with both my brother and got to meet my 7mo nephew for the first time. The next night I spent in St Joseph MO. and went the rest of the way home on Saturday the 20th. It was so great to sleep in a bed again and have a nice shower. It sure nice to be home! Our company has very few buses that have satellite TV and I thank God that I got one of them for the week. I am thankful to God that we where all kept safe for the whole trip.
