Rom. 13:1-7
Submission to the Authorities
‘’1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4 For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honour, then honour.’’

8 Finally, all [of you] should be of one and the same mind (united in spirit), sympathizing [with one another], loving [each other] as brethren [of one household], compassionate and courteous (tenderhearted and humble).
9 Never return evil for evil or insult for insult (scolding, tongue-lashing, berating), but on the contrary blessing [praying for their welfare, happiness, and protection, and truly pitying and loving them]. For know that to this you have been called, that you may yourselves inherit a blessing [from God--that you may obtain a blessing as heirs, bringing welfare and happiness and protection].
We have heard that the angels leave our car bonnet when we go over the speed limit in this rebellious age.
This is a warning that sinning has repercussions both naturally & spiritually..
We may snigger & giggle because of our embarrassment but I don’t think I have ever heard a ‘’ preach ‘’ that covers this topic.
Q.Any suggestions how I might deal with my speeding propensity?
A.Ask for forgiveness & for any promptings felt to be responded to.

Have you heard ministry on the subject.??
Have you been threw the ''7 steps to freedom.'' - Neil Anderson???

I'm a musician laterunner, now semi-retired, now I only do the occasionally gig. There was a time however when I would be on the road nightly and I loved speed. On one occasion people in my car asked to be let out they were so frightened. Don't have a go at me, this was many years ago. Well to continue the story, around that time I was having more than my fair share of shunts and as well as costing me money, it caused me to miss gigs. I had to find an alternative to speed to fulfill my satisfaction. I found it in fine tuning my driving technique, I started getting off on smooth cornering, decelerating into the bend and accelerating out, that is in itself an art, getting the gear changes right so they couldn't be noticed, getting into a flow. I started to enjoy empty roads, so if someone comes up behind me, at the first opportunity I let them pass. I now get far more pleasure from driving than I did when I broke the law driving recklessly.
