My opinion has not changed, it's a novel.

I think the The Da Vinci Code was much worst. In the preface Brown writes “All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate." And therein lies the problem. There will be those out there who read this trash and believe it. And I can tell you for a fact that his descriptions of the documents (and the history and theology behind them) are far far from accurate.

Whilst we were away we visited the little chapel which Dan Brown describes in The Da Vinci Code - the place is full of masonic and knight's templar symbols.
People believe what they want to believe no matter what is said to them. A few years ago we took my sons mother in law to a lecture/discussion about the Da Vinci Code. We were informed that Dan Brown himself states the book is a work of fiction but she would have none of it - "He is only saying that, I still believe it is all true." What chance do you stand when people do not even believe what the author says about his own book?
