    Default Faith-Based Movies

Christian Movies have come under some controversy, especially from Christian believers, who love movies. Some point out the acting wasn't very good or the storyline was weak, and some have complained about the use of the word "Christian" to describe such movies. So I will call them "Faith-based movies" to describe movies with Christian values and messages.

I have an extensive collection of such movies, and am hoping to extend it further by next month. Here are a list of some of my favorites, in no particular order:

    Mercy Streets
    Six: The Mark Unleashed
    Something To Sing About
    Left Behind II: Tribulation Force
A Perfect Stranger (Hoping to get the sequel)
    Moment After 1 and 2
    The Ultimate Gift

There are more, but I will let y'all share some of your favorites or share why you like or dislike some Christian (Faith-Based) Movies.

I've seen the Left Behind series. They were very well done. My 16 year old son was really moved by them. I'll have to search for some of the others on your list.

I really enjoyed Bruce Almighty, I think it says a great deal about why sometimes God says no.

I guess I'm one of the few people in the world who haven't seen this movie.

The sequel, "Evan Almighty" was better than "Bruce" inasmuch as the bad language and other somewhat, objectionable content was toned down. "Bruce" was an excellent movie, don't get me wrong (I like when he kept his promise to God to help Him mop the floor. Good example of servanthood. "It's good!"), there's just some things they could have kept out of it. Many Christians lambasted "Evan" thinking it was an unfaithful interpretation of the Noah story, but it wasn't. It was a story about families working together, and obedience and trust in God. See "Evan Almighty", "It's good".

Here is where I go to get news on upcoming and newly (and already) released faith-based, movies and other DVD's. You can also buy or rent DVD's from them.

    Check it out.

"The Wager" is available, and hopefully I will be able to see it soon. Should be good.

What a great link Titus. When I get back this afternoon, I'll put it in a separate thread so everyone sees it. Thanks!

I dunno if it is classed as a faith based movie,,, but I thoroughly enjoyed the old "Almost an Angle" with Paul Hogan,,,,, I think I kinda associated with him
