Two good movies coming out Tuesday.

"VeggieTales: The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" - I FINALLY got to see this one and it was good. A parable about being an unlikely hero. Our pirates start out as "cabin boys" at a pirate themed restaurant, and wanting to be a part of the "stage show". Eventually, they are fired and come across a ball called the "Help-Seeker", that transports them to a time in the past where a young princess awaits the "Heroes" to help save her brother from her evil uncle. Very Good.

"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" will also be available for those waiting to see it on DVD.

There were some other movies coming out, but nothing worth mentioning here.

Default The Last Movie I Saw Was

Messenger Joan of Arc.
I Loved it but, there was some bloody battle scenes and some cursing. So I would have to say not for young children and Christians beware.

It's been a while since I saw a movie. I am hoping to see An American Carol in theaters but I don't know how I will find the time to. I may have to wait for it to come out on video.

last night we watched Atonement. It was different to what I expected (but I dont really know what that was either).
My husband didnt really enjoy it. In his words a lot of the movies now try to be too clever instead of telling a really good story. When you think about it not too many of them have a gripping story line, just clever images. I have to admit that the costumes were very good. It sort of came together at the end for me and enjoyed it after I thought about it rather than really enjoy it at the time.
Does that make sense?

I rented two movies to be released Tuesday,

"Horton Hears a Who" - A computer animated feature, based on the Dr. Suess story about an elephant who finds a whole town, living on a tiny speck. Starring the voices of Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, and Carol Burnette.

"The Dark Knight" - Continues the saga of "Batman Begins" with Christian Bale back in the bat suit, fighting against the menacing Joker, and featuring the origin of Two-Face (Harvey Dent).

And, as I reported in another thread, I did see,

"Fireproof" -Very inspirational. Better than Sherwood's other two offerings. I found the "Hot sauce challenge" scene to be hilarious (especially after they revealed to the guy they duped, how they actually did it). Day 23 of the "Love Dare" Journal, spoke to me personally (Even though I am not married) and inspired me in my personal life. If you haven't seen it yet, or your local theater did not carry it, make sure you get it when it comes out on DVD January 27, 2009.
