    Default Do we BELIEVE in Apotloic Secession ?

    Hi to all , and knowing just some of you , you would say a loud , NO !!

    So , if you say NO , why do some believers insist on Baptismal Secession .

    #1 , Christ sits today on the right hand of the Father .

    #2 , John the Baptist is dead .

    #3 , Paul is dead , but only baptized with the Holy Spiriti , Acts 19:6 .

    #4 , Peter is dead as are the eleven .

    #5 , Matt 28:19and 20 can not be apply , because Israel was set aside in Acts 28:28 and 70 AD confirms that fact .
    #6 , I , do not see any Jewish missionaries , do you ??

    But God , has LEFT one Baptizer here on earh , and that is in 1 Cor 12:13 , the Holy Spirit and He is taking care of all Baptisms today , because there is no Baptismal Secession today .

    Hunnie,,, if you mean Apostolic succession, perhaps you should read the Lampstand statement of Faith.

    It's not just Catholics.

    Orthodox have Apostolic succession and Anglicans think they do.

    secession

    noun the action of seceding from a federation or organization. Ø(the Secession) historical the withdrawal of eleven Southern states from the US Union in 1860, leading to the Civil War.

    So apostolic secession would be a withdrawing of the apostles from the Church (organisation) - leading to the civil war between Catholics and Protestants perhaps?

    What would baptismal secession be?

    Hi canny , and I do not wany a discussion what the RCC BELIEVE , since most do not believe in Apostolic Secession WHY do most believers , believe in Baptismal Secession , because there is ONLY ONE Baptism for today and Eph 4:5 , says that there is only one and that is by the Holy Spirit . 1Cor 12:13 .

    Question if all these people are dead as you put it, then why does scripture say that through belief, you have moved from death to eternal life? and if you are referring to the physical, i would ask why, why is that the focus, when it should be to do with spiritual re death?
