Hi to all , and we know that Peter , says that one day with the Lord is like a 1000 years .
Depending on how long a generation is , lets says , 40 years , then the Millennium could then be 40,000 years long, by Psa 105:8 .
Hi to all , this is for those that believe in a Millennium .
1) Most of us that believe in the Millennium say that it is a 1000 years !!!
2) THE Millennial person , will go to the book of the Revelation and say , here it is , a 1000 years !!
3) Check out Psa 105:8-10 , NOW how long do you think it is Now ??

A millenium is 1000 years. That is such a long time that the Bible often uses it in a figurative manner.
We will rule and reign with Christ as King of Kings for 1000 years, just as his word says. Revelation 20:4
It hasnt started yet, but I believe it will soon.......7 plus years from now....![]()
DEar Gamin ,what do you see today as being the first signs of Daniels 70 th week ,as this area of prophecy is very precise
Hi Deacon Dan , how would you evalute Dan 7:18 , and I mean that it says that they shall possess the Kingdom for ever , even for ever and ever ?????
"One day is with the Lord as a thousand years" but in Psalms 105:8 He said...a thousand generations. To me the "thousand generations" is saying...forever.
Psalms 105:8 He hath remembered His covenant for ever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations. The "word" as used there is the promise...as in....
105:42 For He remembered His holy promise, And Abraham His servant.
It is a thousand years. Now whether it is to be taken symbolically or literally is another matter.
The Hebrew word translated "generations" is דּוֹר (i.e dowr). It is not the word for "year." The Hebrew word for "year" is שָׁנָה (i.e. shaneh).
"He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations."
Moreover the Septuagint (i.e. the Greek translation of the Hebrew O.T.) uses the γενεά (i.e. genea, the Greek word for "generation." It does not used ἔτος (i.e. etos) the Greek word for "year."
Thus there is no connection.

I fully agree with Origen, as my studies show the same thing.
Knowing the length of the Millennium is secondary to my question, IMO: What is the moral purpose of it? Why?
It will take however long it will take....but what is going on? What is it for....This is the real query, not any amount of tick-tocking.
