Default New Age Pathways Already In Churches

It is shocking, but I have found an article on the internet confirming that new age has been creeping into the churches and not just recently either.

At this link below is the testimony from a born again couple that came out of the new age practises. They testify that what they have been delivered from is now being utilized in christianity.

NEW AGE Pathways in the church

    That is the evidence:

    Below is the Bible prophecies:

    1 Timothy 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

2 Corinthians 11:13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Thessalonians 3:1Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 3But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. 4And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. 5And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 6Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. 7For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;...14And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

1 Peter 4: 17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

2 Timothy 2:11It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 14Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. 15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness..... 19Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Hi Pariah, Lampstand Pioneer. I take it you have made this community but I cannot get much from them as Biblical prophecy. Pariah, do you know Biblical prophecy. I have asked your students about Ezekiel 37 1-14 and have absolutely no answer. Can you help them or what are your thoughts on this. Thank you very much.

    Hi bikelite,

I think the forum made me the Lampstand Pioneer by the number of posts I have made here. I am not sure, but it is a guess. The title may change as more posts are being made. At any rate, no, I am not one of the creators of this community if you had thought the title was inferring that.

I believe gibby is the creator of this forum. He has a few administrative help and moderators at his disposal.

I know some Bible prophecy by His grace. I do read Ezekiel 37 as referring to the Milleniel reign of Christ which is to occur after the great tribulation.

If there is something more about this you wish to know, feel free to inquire further, and God be willing, I shall be around still to give an answer, providing that the Lord has provided the answer at the time that I should respond.

One thing I can tell you is the promise from God is this, that all those that seek, shall find, meaning trust the Lord to give you the answers you seek. I, myself, have found that He has provided the answers on several occassions before the question had arrived for me to ponder it.

In any event, though, we are to edify each other in the knowledge of Him so feel free to inquire further if you have more questions.

The New Age in the church is a very bad thing.
    Christ is the only way.

Let nothing I am about to say be thought of as contradicting either of these statements.

The trouble I have with that article is that it mixes things which are New Age, and things which are Christian, and because they are similar in appearance, it makes the error of tarring them with the same brush. While that may protect Christians against New Age falsehoods, it also scares Christians off things which are of God. I believe that more discernment between false practices (e.g. transcendental meditation) and true practices (Christian meditative reading of Scripture) would be very helpful.

I have been able to discern by His grace that when believers put the focus on the Holy Spirit in the worship place, that is when the touble began.

The indwelling Holy Spirit seeks to put the focus on Jesus Christ to edify us in the knowledge of Him so that we may grow up and continue to walk with Jesus IN the Spirit so that by words and deeds, our faith in Jesus is known as a witness in the assembly as well as towards those without.

When they preach another spirit to receive... that is a rudiment found in the world for we have received the Spirit as promised for coming to and believing in Jesus thus no more hungering nor thirsting for we are filled as promised.

It is not about being negative towards the gifts, but holding fast to the tradition taught of us that is being altered as result of obtaining those "gifts". The gifts were given for the furtherance of the Gospel to glorify Jesus Christ: the gifts were not given for believers to glorify in seeking those gifts.

If God had removed the gifts .... can the Gospel be still spread today? Yes.

If God had removed the Gospel.... can the gifts glorify Him today? No.

So when the gifts are generating testimonies that void the effects of the Gospel, either correct the testimony in regards to the faith in Christ Jesus or...if you can't correct....then discern the gifts as the spirit of error.

May God help you to do that through Jesus Christ.
