As we read our newspapers and watch the television news, we are witnessing prophecy unfolding before our eyes. If you see a story that relates to prophecy, share it here and please include the scripture reference.

I realize that there are other discussions regarding biblical prophecy in other areas at Lampstand but this is forum is mostly for drawing parallels between current events/news headlines and prophecy.

I support this as, if one beleives in the prophesy and accept that it is unfolding in front of our eyes, then there is really no point in debating when it's gonna happen and how much of each one is saying of their opinion of how it is gonna happen is true.

Well this is not really a headline but it does have a story to go with it. In fact there are many examples that you could all probably add here but the one that stood out for me is that both in USA and Great Britain the American/British Humanist Society at the beginning of this year started to display ads on buses that in America said "Why believe in god? Just be good for goodness' sake" and in Britain "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life."
Read 2 Peter 3:3 "there shall come in the last days scoffers....."
And to add to those the book by Richard Dawkins "The God Delusion" and Christopher Hitchens book" God is not great" are part of this as well.
However many churches do lead themselves open to rebuke as they are not either doing the right thing or preaching the right message.
2Timothy 3:5 that talks about even so called religious people who have "a form of godliness" are guilty of "denying the power thereof." Arent telling the right message, are deceiving people.
Matthew chapter 7 screams out to be listened to.
v.14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."
The important word is FEW.
Think about it.
