I know this woman at chuch that wants me to be with her and she is beautiful,
Her husband treats her like garbage. My wife has cheated on me many, many times. My heart is very weak but, I have choosen to do what the Lord wants me to do, not my heart. It's been a hard battle, but I have not given in. I never have cheated on my wife in 35 years of life, my point is if I give in to the sin of lust, I would have been involved in this sin many times over.

There should be a drop down box to switch versions. Try the NIV or NKJV if KJV is a bit hard to swallow.
I guess I'll try again when my head is less full of alcohol (not much, but still enough to stop me from being able to concentrate properly). Thanks for the hint.

Btw, what are Christian views on drinking?

When you place all your hope and trust in a book that is supported with archeological evidence, historical evidence, and prophetic fullfillment, you can declare with confidence, as a Christian, it is a fact.
From a scientific view point, it's not fact. From historical I think there are minor contradictions, but maybe I should guard my tongue before saying that without having researched my facts properly.

Side note: Did you know that the Old Testament contains over 300 prophecies concerning the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Christ?

Consider Isaiah 53 which was written some 700 years before Christ.
But that's working under the assumption that Christ was resurrected.

If you can, hit me with your best prophecy, just for some interest. Although the inherent flaw with prophecies is that the ones that dont come true are ignored, or they say 'it may come true in the future'. It gives a lot of room to making up loads of prophecies in the hope that a few will come true. Also, you can sometimes interpret philosophies very cleverly to fit the meaning.

I would buy that if you were to state, "in a 'secular' and 'un-biblical' sense of the meaning."
    Fair enough.

Putting limits on the bible because of it's percieved antiquity is to put God in a box. God exists beyond time. John 8:58
Their response: God does exist beyond time, but humans don't. Humans are fallible and they wrote the Bible, ergo the Bible is fallible. The self-validating statements within the Bible have no significance because they are self-validating.

It's like me saying 'I speak the word of God because I speak the truth'. The claim that I 'speak the truth' has no validity.

    Scripture?
Yeah, please. I want to see where the Bible says what you said.

That is why we are on a mission to tell others about the Good News. Some will accept it, others won't. We just plant the seeds and pray God will make them grow.
I admire that, so long as present it in a good and respectful way.

The bible does not specifically condemn drinking, but does condemn drunkeness.

May I recommend a well-written, easy to read, and heavily sourced book? It was written by a former atheist who set out to find answers.
The Case For Christ He has written 3 other books that are similar.

But that's working under the assumption that Christ was resurrected.
Reason #2 to check out that book I recommended.

Well, here's a short list that just scratches the surface. Man, I love Google...saves me alot of time.

You could explain away the sky being blue if you tried hard enough.

Well, if what they say matches up to God's Word, then they are speaking Truth.

Yeah, please. I want to see where the Bible says what you said.
    1 Corinthians 6:13-16, 1 Corinthians 7:3-5, 1 Corinthians 7:9, Proverbs 5:18-20 to name just a few.
Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

I know that I have responded many times, but it really is very simple. First read Genesis 2: 21-25. This is God's word of what constitutes a marriage. Next read Romans 1:24-32. That seems clear to me. Thats the bottom line. If anyone has a problem with this, argue with God.
