Woah, first graders? That sounds young...how young exactly is first grade in America?

It seems a bit pointless to organise a school trip to see a gay wedding. I mean, you can teach kids that men sometimes love men and have weddings without actually taking them there to see it.

But I do think it's important that kids grow up accepting those who choose gay relationships as equal citizens and not messed up weirdos. Gay marriage, for me, is acceptable as humans should have the right to experience happiness so long as it does not harm others. In my mind, society should be inclusive and tolerant.

^Oh really? Interesting. Are there lots of protests, or does the issue go largely unnoticed?

Thanks for the info. Yeah, that's definitely too young. I wonder what they hope to achieve by doing that at that age... I mean, the whole notion of having an actual trip to see gay marriage, instead of just discussing it is bizarre IMO.

I heard only once about a protest...nothing much about it, but the government did not wanted to legalize that. there are not so many gay people around here

THe point has already been made ...WHY would someone make a decision like that ?,

Dear Lily I hope Roberts honest answer satisfies the question you asked

No matter which side of the line you stand as a Christian there are absolute scriptural truths , whether you or I agree with those absolute truths is irrelevant they are still absolute truths and passages such as Romans 1:21-32, so if you want to disagree with that you can , no one is forced to believe the word of God .

I would like to write more detail about this whole gay, subject it really stirred up deep feelings inside me, If I thought it would help one person deal with it, We are not to hate the sin, not the sinner. I would write a letter but I'm not sure who to send it to. It seems to me these hard subjects are passed over to much. I'm going to pray and do what ever the Lord wants me to do.
GOD BLESS EVERYONE! Your Brother Robert

I totally disagree that children should be taught to accept homosexuality. It is sin and unnatural, and THAT is what they should be taught. Our happiness is not as important as living according to God's commandments, and how can anyone (especially a Christian) be happy living in sin?
