Persecution in Pakistan I recently received an email from a friend in Pakistan, which included the following (edited by me as there was a request for financial help which I don't think I'm allowed to post). He lives less than 70 miles from where this happened, and has now actually been to see the devastation for himself. Please could you keep these people in your prayers.

Bad News
We sad and I believe after reading this e-mail you will also be sad…
In Pakistan we have a city which is called Gojra. It is close to a large city FaisalAbad.
On 29of last month in a village of Gojra Christians were having a prayer meeting and some Muslims entered in Christian’s meeting and started to say against Jesus but Christians did not say any thing.
Next day those Muslim people went to a Mosque and announced in loud speakers bad and killing news for Muslims. They said, “last night in prayer meetings Christians of village have done things against The Holy Quran” After hearing this announcement on loud speakers thousands Muslims gathered in the mosque. They took petrol, weapons and raw material to kill Christians. Christians left their houses before Muslims came in the villages. They burnt all houses of Christians; they also burnt animals which were belonging to Christians. No one reached to save them from this.
One 31 of July Muslim repeated same in urban area of Gojra. There were 300 Christian houses in the middle of city. Muslim attacked on them. Police did not stop anyone. There was sight of hell for Christians. Muslims burnt many Christians alive, they raped girls even 9 years old girl. They burnt more than 100 houses. 8 Christians were dead on the spot because petrol and gun shots did not allow them to take next breath. They stolen everything from their houses even many young girls are missed. No one knows where they are. When Muslim did this on 29 of July all Christians requested to Government to send forces to Gojra to save Christians but no one took notice of it, Muslims repeated same exercise on 31 in main city of Gojra.
People in Gojra are helpless extremists did not allow ambulances and fire men to go in the area. Now hundreds Christians are helpless in Gojra. No one is going to help them. They are homeless because houses are declared unsaved to live. People don’t have even cloths to wear because everything was rubbed by Muslims. Pakistan Ranger and Army are deployed in Gojra but Christians are still helpless there.
Government claims it was just fight between two groups, infect it was attack on Christians.

Level 5 Yes Eddy I will pray. Our family has a particular connection with Pakistan as my mother in law was born in LaHore (when it was still part of India) and they go there many times (not for a little while now) and have wonderful friends especially in the Swat Valley. The news from there is sad much like your friend has told you.
Her one wish is that my husband will take her ashes there and scatter them. I am not going to tell you what he thinks about that I think she knows that as time passes it wont happen she will have to be happy staying here

Never be overwhelmed by decisions, just consider the right ones and your options will be far fewer.

I think sometimes, there is very little that can be said, other than go away and Pray Pesty, not responding does not mean not praying, I am sure you pray when you read all the requests in here.

There are so many countries that Christians have constant persecution now that we really need remember, some that I know we can't even mention what country they're in.Originally Posted by pestypaws

Lampstand Senior Member I normally just pray when requested but in veiw of this I am posting to let you know you are mistaken in the veiw that not many are responding, and so you may think not many are praying. I Have prayed and HE has heard !

I made a request for prayer. Some replied, some didn't but I know it was being read and I know people prayed.
Never be overwhelmed by decisions, just consider the right ones and your options will be far fewer.
