If you are being troubled and/or bothered by the actions or words of other Christians, I believe that these believers are themselves usually perplexed. They seem to know it is not right to react negatively, but these brothers/sisters can’t seem to help themselves. Let me share these verses
Galatians 6:17 From henceforth let no man trouble me:
Psalm 119:165Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
John 14:1Let not your heart be troubled:
John 14:27Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
1 Corinthians 12:18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
Comment: Here it says that God has placed everyone in His plan where He wants them to be. Is it possible that when we judge the actions or postures of other believers, we are also questioning God’s Will? I think so. I think that God has not designed his perfect plan to please man, but to please Himself. It says in Revelation 4:11: “...for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Much idle talk can be nipped in the bud, if when asked to pass an opinion on another born-again person, you tell the questioner that your opinion is 1 Corinthians 12:18. Then-leave it at that.
1 Corinthians 7:20Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
1 Corinthians 7:24Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
Philippians 4:11for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Question: Does this mean that we remain content even when being bugged?
Romans 14:5One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Philippians 4:6Be careful for nothing; Nothing?? Nothing!!
Matthew 7:1-5; Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Comment: Look up Matthew 7:2-5 yourself-they are life unto those that find them
(Proverbs 4:22).
Psalm 55:22Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
1 Peter 5:7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Hebrews 12:1let us lay aside every weight,
Comment: Lay it aside. Because we say so? No way-God forbid. Lay it aside
because God says so.
Hebrews 13:6So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
No worldly advice will enable you to stop being bugged by people or events. However, God’s Word will do the job. Just find the scriptures above that speak to your spirit, and stand on them
How does this verse strike you? 1 Corinthians 7:17But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. This scripture pairs up beautifully with
1 Corinthians 12:18, which was cited earlier. Please refer back to it, and the comments following.
The following scriptures might help in this area:
Proverbs 16:7When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Proverbs 25:21If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
Matthew 5:44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Romans 12:14Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Romans 12:20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:
Does it boil down to this in the end?
“THE CHALLENGE IS NOT IN THAT PEOPLE BUG YOU - IT IS CENTERED ON HOW YOU REACT SCRIPTURALLY TO THE “BUGGING”.
