PRAISE the LORD.![]()
Psalms 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. 3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Col 2:8 -10 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
Hi Robert,
I'm new to this forum and I was very interested in this prayer request. I, too, was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea back in March of this year. I was excited to get the bipap machine. Thinking it was going to cure my problems. After 3 solid months of sleepless nights, I was never able to ajdust to it. I had such a sick feeling, almost terror about wearing the mask. I prayed, claimed scriptures and gave God thanks for being my rock and my fortress. One night while praying and begging God to help me be able to wear the mask, I believe the Holy Spirit asked me..."If you believe that I can help you get use to the mask, why can't you believe that those stripes I took 2000 years ago have healed you of this sleep apnea?" I told Him that I could and I do believe that. I was willing to use the machine but for some reason I had a terrible aversion to it. Every time I looked at it...it just seemed so unnatural. And it was because the prescription for the pressure was so much pressure that I could not sleep. Now, I sleep propped up with about 4 pillows, but it is comfortable and my husband says that I do not snore anymore. I'm not telling anyone else to give up their bipap machine...it is just what I feel I should do. God bless you and I pray for divine healing for you in that area.
I would appreciate your prayers, too.
Thanks,
Sherry Nita
First off welcome: Here is what helped me alot, I had 16 weeks of problems. I started at a place called a sleep center.
They tested me and found out my oxygen level would get low at night. They suggested the machine be set at about
5.6, the doctor set it with a card at 12 which proved to be way to much air but due to my many medications they were not sure. Finally after alot of complaing the doctor tested my oxygen level at home by wearing one of those oxygen meters. It read with the mask, my oxygen level was fine, finally he put a new card in set at six and that made it much better, there is also a fresh water part that is connected to it so I get alittle fresh water at night. I adjusted to the lower air setting right away (PTL) one more suggestion is try to sleep on your back. What the to high air flow does is the reverse of what is needed, so don't give up just keep telling them that the air pressure seems to
much and is seems to make it harder to sleep with the mask on. I know somehow it will work out. Yes I know at first with being tired all the time it is like a nightmare, but between you and me and Jesus with prayer you'll make it. I also would suggest you don't drive anywhere if you can. I now take 2 naps aday about 1 Hour each and I'm doing good, I have to go to the doctors right now but I can get back to you later if you need.

GOD BLESS EVERYONE! Your Brother Robert
What is a CPAP machine Robert ?I use a CPAP machine and it does make a big difference, but now appeartly other problems are acting up and this other machine can also check out other problems.
Never be overwhelmed by decisions, just consider the right ones and your options will be far fewer.
CPAP stands for Constent Positive Air Pressure.
It is designed to keep a small flap at the back of the throat closed by a certain amount of predetermined amount that they firgure out usually a sleep center with one on as they monitor your sleep usually there are checking your oxygen level and if you stop breathing.
They send you info to the doctor and he sets up a card that goes in the machine at a pre set air flow. Sometimes they set it at too much air pressure making the problem worse. So if it seems like something wrong you should tell the sleep center right away.
For example at the center they said I needed 5.6 setting but the doctor set it at 12. Then it seemed like I could not wake up all day, finally when he lowered it to a setting of 6 I have been doing much better, they seem alittle hard to adgust to but in about 1 week I did fine, the only thing is your best to sleep on your back. If you stay with it you will get a much better rest. I have one with a fresh water hook up which helps keep your throat from drying out. I put it on even to take a nap.
GOD BLESS EVERYONE! Your Brother Robert
Sorry to be so long getting back to this. I Am glad you are doing well Robert! Praise the Lord!
