| Diabetes I was recently told I have diabetes and have gotten rid of everything with sugar in it. With other physical problems I have had to cut out nearly everything I love to eat. Please pray that the latest blood test done yesterday will not show any diabetes. I've seen what that dreaded disease can do to people. That and a stroke are the two things I fear the most. I've known many people (including my dad) who had a stroke, and they were never right in the head or physically after that.

| Jon-Mark, I was diagnosed with diabetis almost 9 years ago, I am not yet insulin dependent. I dont look upon it as a disease (no one can catch it from me. I did not catch it from anyone else), but as a condition (it may be inherited from one of my parents, I dont know). Take care, just watch what you eat (but dont completely deprive yourself, I sucked on a toffee walking to church this morning). My medication is a nuisance, but it is keeping it under control (and my diabetic nurse is quite pretty  ) Just take it to the Lord in prayer and he will see you through. God Bless you.

| My dad said he was "borderline diabetic" and had to be careful what he ate. My blood sugar was very high, which scared me. Giving myself shots is not something I want to do. My next appointment with my doctor is Nov. 14, and I will find out what to do next then. The blood test that was done this past week will tell where I stand on everything. It's amazing that so many things can be found out from your blood, but then God did say that "the life of the flesh is in the blood" in Lev. 17:11.
