I find names of foods interesting--like pineapple that has no pine or apple in it, or eggplant that has no eggs in it, or strawberries that have no straw in them. I've always wondered why when you mix corn with lima beans, they're called succatash (sp?).

when the beef scare was on over here, people were a bit affraid to eat beef, but hamburgers were ok

So what is the difference between the ham burgers and the beef burgers my butchers has on sale.
I dont like to appear ignorant to him especially when I aint gonna buy any.

At each stage man's lifespan was shortened. What does that say about our diet. No mention of hamburghers or beef burghers.

I though hamburghers were citizens of Hamburgh

strawberries are so called because they were grown under straw.
