Hi everyone! I am a lifelong Anglican and one of my great passions is the short-term missionary work I do in Mexico and El Salvador every year. I'm very eager to talk with everyone about what scripture is saying to us. I also love hearing people's stories about their personal encounters with Christ. The Lord never ceases to amaze me!
I'm really excited to meet you all.![]()
Well hello there, welcome to the Community

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. ....................
Col 2:8 -10 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Thanks for the invitation! I've gone mostly to El Salvador - the communities I work with were founded by an organization called Episcopal Relief and Development which purchased land and set up many small Christian communities following a couple of disastrous earthquakes in 2001.
The communities were founded to provide shelter and work for those who lost much in the earthquakes, especially families with children. ERD also intends for them to be healthy communities that can be civic and religious examples for the rest of the country.
The people there are all Christians and most go to the church on site. One of our primary missions is to deepen our shared faith by working together in His name. We try very hard not to go in and tell them how things should be done or serve as a bank. Instead we work on projects together like establishing a sewing co-op so the ladies can provide for themselves, developing a functioning Sunday School; build a playground and improving the cleanliness and functionality of the church.
The trips have been very rewarding for me and I believe they have been helpful to the families there. In my church we are blessed to have the comfort of knowing we will food on the table and shelter over our heads every night. I believe we have the responsibility to let God use our hands to share that blessing.
