I got up too early this morning so my brain is operating at about 37% peak efficiency. Bear with me please...

So If I stumbled into the wrong introduction thread feel free to hand me a map...

I am a former Christian now Athiest.

I have studied the bible through out the years as a Christian and have participated in a great many learning groups.
However, over the years I find my memory is getting foggy as I turn into a Grumpy Old Man and I need to brush up on my knowledge.

As I stated previously, part of my aim is also debate. I noticed you have a hot topics thread.

However, my debates tend to be based on understanding interpretation, not on degrading or taking away from them.
They are intended to help people realize their potential, to use free will in conjunction with prayer to not only gain strength to make it in the world, but to learn how to decisively take action in their lives.

Remember, I am an athiest. This means that I will question everything and offer differeing viewpoints about many topics. I believe in evidence.
Part of having faith includes being able to defend your faith by enlightening others and passing knowledge that they may not yet be aware.
I hope to find members here that can discuss topics in that manner, rather than getting angry or haindwaiving statements away.
We all have much to learn from the moment we are born and learning is crucial to success.
I understand that many of you will feel that I need to be Saved. Or... Maybe Re-saved? Something like that. To find my way back home to God.
I am here to learn but that does not necessarily change my nature. I cannot say that I will or will not be heading back to God- only time can tell. But I do ask that no one here judge me based on preconcieved ideals.
I also love Jesus. That is not contradictory as he was a Great Teacher and inspiration, and should a God exist- I am certain he would be his Son.

I searched google for a while before choosing this forum for the opinions and expressions, the moderation and welcoming nature it seemed to present.

I may, however, find that as an admitted athiest I am not welcome here.
If the Moderators feel that is the case, please inform me so and we can delete my account

The only shortcut I can think of that might help is if you highlight and copy a space prior to typing your message and then hitting ctrl+V to paste the space after each word.
I had the same issue a long time ago and became accustomed to doing it that way. When I got a new keyboard I had to unlearn the habit again, however.

It would be a pleasure to have you here. My fellow mods will however give their own opinions. And Gibby the owner seemed an open-minded and tolerant administrator. Thats the reason I joined this board and have enjoyed being here. We are all a happy bunch.

Well with 37% of your brain in operation your suggestion to my friend onesiphorus must be applauded. My suggestion to him was simple, 'get a new one'.

As you are gonna back your discussions with scripture I bet it will be most interesting. I had been like you, back-slided twice, but now humbled by His love and taught by His grace. I cannot agree that you calling yourself an atheist. It's God who decides who you are. I believe you are still seeking and I wish that you will find His grace.
