What verses can I share with someone that has lost a child, and it was the person's fault due to neglect or an accident?
I am at a loss for words.

That is a good one, canny. It also serves those who suffer for those that would endure such a loss and cannot find the words to comfort them.

I don't believe there is any bible verse that can alleviate suffering of that kind, but the verse "come unto me all you who labour and I will give you rest" comes to mind as a first step to healing. A relationship with the one who is able to renew a life, to me is the only remedy
