But surely, in the context of unmarried couples getting more, ( tax purposes ), that's not discrimination against Christians, that's just discrimination against married couples. There are thousands upon thousands of married couples who aren't Christians.

I don't agree. We live in a country where Church and state are separated. Christianity maybe the dominant faith and we may have a monarch that is head of the Church of England but we aren't a Christian country by the above definition of separation of Church and state. That head has no power of her Government and it's law making policies.
Never be overwhelmed by decisions, just consider the right ones and your options will be far fewer.
