First you should always pray for guidance and wisdom from the Holy Spirit, then don't pay much attention to what others say, try finding two or three other scriptures that would be inline with what you have read. You can also compare other bible translations and see if the scripture is saying basically the same thing. There is great sites on the internet that you can cross reference different translation.

I know I am gonna be a pain in the butt now, but there ya go with cross reference and translation,,, The KJV is the nearest to English, ( I think ) why would it not be self explanatory to someone like me ?

I think you misunderstand, I personally use the New King James version myself. All it does is put it in alittle easier wording that's easier to read.
I'm poor at getting the full undestanding of what is being said because I want to make sure of what is being said before I write it in the forum. Frankly there has been way to much dragging on and on of the same old stuff around here, so what I'm trying to say in a nice way is don't pay too much attention to what man says. The wisdom of the Holy Spirit is really all you need.

I think you misunderstand, I personally use the New King James version myself. All it does is put it in alittle easier wording that's easier to read.
I'm poor at getting the full undestanding of what is being said because I want to make sure of what is being said before I write it in the forum. Frankly there has been way to much dragging on and on of the same old stuff around here, so what I'm trying to say in a nice way is don't pay too much attention to what man says.
