3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5. casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

1 Peter 2: 1,2,3

2 Timothy3: 1

But know this, that in the last days Perilious times will come.

The word translated "perilous" has to do with the idea of " reduced strenght, difficulty, danger, stress and hardship."

The only other time it is used in the New Testament is in describing the condition of two demon possessed men in
Matthew 8:28, where they are described as "being exceeding fierce" other translations render this word,
" violent" "dangerous" "furious" and "hard to deal with."

Ephesians 5: 1,2

1. Therefore be imitators of God dear children.
2. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

( Sweet-smelling aroma parallels the figure of the OT sacrifices offered in worship.)

Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said:

"Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son also may glorify You."

And again, Isaiah says:
