Hi Cat
Some would say it's a lesser status in God's kingdom but it might be easier if we look at what Scripture tells us is a description of God's kingdom.any ideas to what this refers to.?
Revelation 22:5
" And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever "
No darkness there.
Revelation 21:4
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away "
And certainly no " gnashing of teeth " there as described in, Matthew 24:51, Matthew 22:13, Matthew 8:12, Matthew 25:30 and Luke 13:28.
Then look at how the place for satan and his angels is described in Jude 1:6 and Jude 1:13.
Not descriptions of anywhere in God's kingdom is it ? Sometimes Cat, instead of trying to work out what something "is", take a look first at Scripture to tell you what it isn't. In this case, if someone tells you it's not hell and just a lesser status of God's kingdom, then take a look at what God's kingdom "isn't" and Scripture tells us that nowhere in God's kingdom is a place of darkness and gnashing of teeth.

), it's to do with sunlight passing through the sky over an ocean and as the majority of the earth is covered in water, that light is reflected upward.
