    Default Safe weight loss

    What is the quickest and best way to lose weight Gibby?

    As I get older, I find I am putting on more weight, without eating more and I am not a happy bunny, help!!

    I would like to lose at least 1 stone. Dunno what that is in pounds, sorry.

    Hi wabco, don't worry about your weight and a stone is not much to lose. Try just cutting down in the fatty a sugaty foods. Also try eating no more that 1 or two slices of bread per day. Eat plenty of
    fruit and veg but not a lot of potatoes Eat smaller portion of meat or fish.
    1 stone = 14lbs

    Hi Wabco. I read and enjoy bodybuilding, although at the moment I have so much joint pain that I dare not do any heavy weights.
    Many of the articles that I read tell of the diets and all the lies that are out there in the world about dieting and weight loss. The truth is that there is no way that you can lose weight and keep that loss with just dieting alone ! What happens is that your metabolic rate slows down and you actually end up burning less calories than before you dieted, so eating less you will end up putting weight on again.
    Dieting MUST be done in conjunction with exersize, eat 500 less calories and burn an exta 500 calories off. All the time increacing your metabolic rate so that at the end of the diet and exersize(don't stop the exersize) you will return to what you were eating before and not gain weight.
    Also If you drink plenty of water you will be so much healthier.

    "Quickest" and "best" don't really go together when it comes to weight loss. There are plenty of faddy "quick-fix" diets about, but the best way is to eat healthily and exercise more, as others on here have already said.

    I think the best and quickest way (which has worked for me) is a determination to succeed along with diet and exercise. There are several fat burning supplements on the market but they are worthless without proper diet and exercise. There used to be a very effective fat burning combination which was ephedrine, caffeine, and aspirin. However, ephedrine has been widely banned and labeled as unsafe. This is highly debated.

    I think my metabolism has slowed down somewhat... that's my excuse, but I will keep on keeping on...

    Mine too...I have to watch what I eat even more. Which is a problem because when I watch food, I eat it.

    ooh, when I saw the thread the first thing comes to my mind is casting all of your burden to Lord Jesus. and yes it's true to lose weight sometimes you may come to the feeling like floating.
