Basically, they are small booklets or publications that communicate the gospel in different ways. Many times, they are tailored to target different groups, cultures, or social status (the Message is the same, just delivered a little different).

I personally use Pocket Gospels that you can get for free from www.pocketpower.org

What is the version they are written in. Are they just for america or can you order outside the USA?

Do you give away one a day and are the tracks marked in them or offer help as the Gideon bibles do?

They do come in other languages and versions but you would have to visit the site to see them all.

I take them with me to work, mainly. I don't give them out too often; just when doors are opened. I do share often times without handing them out. Typically I will hand them out to people who do not have a bible. Others, I just instruct them to read the book of John in their bibles.

I'm hoping from this thread, that most here will use tracts to reach the various people in your lives. There are some people I don't feel comfortable approaching but it gets easier as we become comfortable talking to others about the Lord Jesus Christ, what He has done for all of us, how someone can enjoy a personal relationship with Him, and be sure of a home in heaven when we die or are raptured home.

Well tracts can be a general term, for US it is ok as most read English. But for a country like India the scene sure is different.
I just remembered a discussion Gibby and I had when I joined the forum in early November, 2007. I was poking to find out about the ideology behind the forum and I guess Gibby was also finding out about me. I realized that Gibby loves music and so I just injected the words, "I shot the 'sheriff', ( not knowing Gibby was a deputy. Bang came his answer, "but don't go shooting no deputy", and Gibby said in real life he was a deputy.

Ok now to why I am bringing this matter up now is to just witness to who ever who is reading this how Bob Marley used his music to witness against racism and hate by injecting music and love into peoples lives. I will bore you guys by telling you a story about Bob Marley. One day he was scheduled to perform at a peace rally, gunmen came to his house and shot him down. Two days later, he walked out on that stage and sang. Somebody asked him why?. He replied, " The people who are trying to make this world worse are not taking a day off, how can I? He lights up the darkness does he not with his music. Try listening to his redemption song.

Now we must use whatever we can use to spread the Word of Almighty triumphantly. And on the way we should not bow down too to those who oppose us. It is easy for you to step aside when we face resistance but we should use His Word boldly and move forward. These are the gifts we should pray for. To save at least one soul in our life, not necessarily speaking in tongues and gifts that only edify oneself.

I pray each one of us can, in the very position we are to bring some light in the darkness of another. Use whatever is permitted by Him. I wish I could distribute not 1 tract daily but 100's if I can.

The only tracts I don't like are the ones that look like money. People are always putting them at the gas pumps and bathrooms. I always get excited thinking God is blessing me with some 'found' money. lol!
