THE WORD PARACLETE MENTIONED IN THE GOSPEL

PARACLETE: HELPER, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, COMFORTER

If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask God, and He will give you another Paraclete to be with you forever. (John, 14:15-16)


But the Paraclete … whom God will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John, 14:26)


When the Counselor comes … he will testify about me. And you also must testify about me... (John 15:26-27)


But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Paraclete will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment. (John, 16:7-8)

Maybe not relevant but when I was a child, I got paraclete mixed up with parakeet.For a long time I imagined the Holy Spirit as a brightly coloured bird.
