I am amazed at the inability of Christians to comprehend the meaning of the word all. The inability to comprehend this word, in my opinion, is the cause of much pain.
Romans 8:28 (ANIV)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
If he works for your good in all things, does that not also include your sin? or does not your sin enter the realm of all? We are told that there is now no condemnation;
Romans 8:1 (ANIV)
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
Condemnation for what? It has to be your sin, you would not be condemned for anything else.
1 Cor. 6:12 (ANIV)
"Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"—but I will not be mastered by anything.
Here's another word everything, if everything is permissible that has to include our sin, which although permissible is not beneficial. by now the keys must be melting on computers. So before people start to suffer seizures I'll attempt to make my point. Sin is disobedience of the law, but Paul tells us we are no longer under law,
Romans 6:14 (ANIV)
For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
If we are not under law there is no sin, because sin is disobedience of the law. This does not mean that sin does not exist, it does, but it no longer has any power over us. Satan cannot accuse or condemn us for something we are allowed to do. Should we then continue to do it, no, but while the potter is in the process of fashioning the pots we should relax in the knowledge that we are no condemned for who we are. Jesus said he will give us life to the full.
John 10:10 (ANIV)
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. How many Christians have I heard lament the fact that they are sinful and live lives of misery because of it, why are they not enjoying fullness of life? they are not enjoying the fullness of life because they are taught not to accept the freedom these scriptures offer. they are taught to remain under law; thou shalt not etc.
Jeremiah 18:6 (ANIV)
"O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the Lord. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. We are the clay in the hands of the potter, it is he that makes the pots. since when has a lump of clay been able to fashion itself into a pot? and yet that is what many teachers tell us to do. This is not my experience. when I came to the Lord 30 years or so ago, I was bound up like a Christmas turkey, with addictions, fears, doubts, you name it. Over the years I have been, and am still being being set free. it's not something I am doing myself, I am being given the grace to do it and as I wish to please my saviour I am taking advantage of the grace as it is given. In the mean time I enjoy a fullness of life I never though I would ever enjoy. I enjoy this because I refuse to accept the guilt that the enemy and many who are supposedly my friends try to force upon me. I gratefully accept the scriptures that free me of the law and therefore the guilt.

God's promises never fail
Rock onI refuse to accept the guilt that the enemy and many who are supposedly my friends try to force upon me.![]()
Never be overwhelmed by decisions, just consider the right ones and your options will be far fewer.
what guilt are they putting on you.?
Streetsinger, every verse you quoted is surrounded by dire warnings not to sin.
Romans 3:20Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin... 31Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.
Hebrews 26-27 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
If we are in Christ, we are not under the penalty of the law because Jesus paid the penalty. But, if we use our liberty as an excuse to ignore or break the law then we are doomed.
All Christian sin Dan, it's the nature of man, that is why Christ died that we may be covered by his blood and hidden from death. Even though we sin, we desire not to, otherwise we wouldn't have come to Christ in the first place, and like Paul who was, unlike you, honest enough to admit that he was incapable of overcoming his sin and needed rescuing, we too need to be rescued, hence the word Saviour.
I write a piece designed to free people from guilt and encourage them to embrace the fullness of life our Lord promised and rely on him to save and change them, and rather than see the true meaning of the scriptures I cite and say Amen, you take the negative side and attempt to plunge them back into guilt and misery. Who's side are you batting for Dan?
