This is an extract from a poem written by John Norris (1657 - 1711).
Hope you like;
How fading are the joys we dote upon!
Like apparitions seen and gone.
But those which soonest take their flight
Are the most exquistite and strong -
Like angels' visits, short and bright;
Mortality's too weak to bear them long.
Psalm 16:5-7
Friends are like stars ~ even when you can't see them they are still there.
