    Oh! never, never, harbor doubt-
    Somewhere the rough trails end,
    Somewhere the stars are looking out!
    Somewhere the rainbows bend!

    Oh! never, never harbor fear-
    Somewhere are songs of hope,
    Somewhere hovers a word of cheer,
    Somewhere a sunny slope,
    Somewhere happiness lifts its wings
    Somewhere sweetly a bluebird sings!
