| I Walk Through Woods, And Hills And Dales. Along The Riverbanks I'll Stray. And Feed The Pigeons, Ducks And Quails, And Sometimes Hear A Distant Plane. And As I Look At Clouds On High, I Realise How Small Am I. Yet Like The Shepherd Of The Flock, In Thee I See A Perfect Rock. A Rock To Build My House On, Firm, And Live My Life Throughout It's Term: As Humbly And As Just Can Be, In Thanks For What Thou'st Given Me. Although I Cannot See Thy Face, Your Presence Fills My Heart With Grace. Though Many Times Through Sin, I Fall, To Thee I Pledge My Life - My All. |

| Thank you for allowing me to share my words with you. Poetry does not come naturally to me - I am a creative writer, not a poet, but what I did put, came straight from the heart. On a different subject altogether, I'm still feeling my way around - how do I go about putting a signature? |

| Frederick, that's a great poem. ![]() By the way; I don't see any difference between creative writing and poetry. ![]()

Thank you, everybody, for their comments. Creative writing tends to concentrate more on short stories on any subject. I started off short story writing - romantic fiction of all things coming from a man! Lol and then decided to write a full length science fiction novel which I am about halfway through. However, shortly after I became a born-again Christian, I realised that the Holy Spirit bestows certain gifts upon each and every one of us, and if we ignore what gifts we are given, we are throwing back into God's face what He has so generously given us from the start. It was whilst checking one of my manuscripts for accuracy that I realised my gift could be put to far better use. If you've ever listened to a lay preacher, you'll notice that most people stop and listen for no more than thirty seconds, so any message you are trying to convey must be said quickly. Many preachers, through lack of training just mumble into their bibles, but all are driven by the Holy Spirit to profess their faith in Jesus Christ. Now I couldn't preach to save my life, save a five minute public testimonial down by Tower Bridge near where I work. However, what the Holy Spirit has given me, is the ability to write. Most people who read the problems pages are psychologically seeking answers to their own problems. Like I said, few people will stand and listen to the gospel or personal testimonials. However, if they were able to browse through a book on how people's lives have changed since seeking fellowship with the Lord, maybe, just maybe, one or two might find the answers to their particular problems. If just ONE PERSON finds Jesus Christ and salvation through reading such a book, it would have put everything I have ever done or written in my life in the shade, but it would be no praise to me, for it is God, and God only who has the power to forgive sin and enter into people's hearts, the way He entered mine, but of course, only you have the handle to your heart. You have to ask Him into your heart, and mean it. It started off very slowly, but is now beginning to gain pace. Like a giant snowball, it picks up as it goes along. I've a long way to go - realistically I've got to get it up to 70,000+ words. Some contributors choose to remain anonymous - that is up to them. Mine is anonymous. No payment is made for contributions (freely you have received - freely give). What they do need is to sign a release form giving me permission to use their testimony. If the book is a success and gets distributed through Christian Bookshops or some similar outlet, all will be invited to a meeting to discuss how best to use the money to further the work of God. None of it will be used to line my own pocket If anybody's interested in reading a couple of sample testimonials, I'd be more than happy to post them on to you. In telling you this, I hope I haven't broken some rule! Your Brother in Christ, Fred
