    uhmm... is there anyway I can download a free NIV Bible for my computer?

    i found one at zondervan dot com but it says they wont let download for a while.

    Hiya, some people use esword which you can download it has lots extra apparantly, i have a few friends who use it and say it is good...but it isnt just the NIV translation but that is there

    e-Sword - the Sword of the LORD with an electronic edge

    And if you dont want to download and its for reference and posting online, i use biblegateway for that, has various translations including the NIV again

    May I ask why you need the NIV version of the Bible ? There are many versions that you can download for free online but the NIV is not one of them, and in my opinion is not worth reading. Try the online bible or e-sword, but if you really must have the NIV then you will probably have to pay for it ! In my opinion the best is the KJV because although it has some minor errors all of them are known and well documented !

    why NIV? not any reason at all, it's just that KJV has a lot word so unfamiliar to me...

    I have bible software for my PC and I had to pay extra to get the NIV. The problem is that it is copyright and the publishers will not make it free of charge. They want payment for every copy.
    If we disagree , at least one of us is wrong!

    , but the NETBIBLE I have that in chtml format, but I guess it would be nice if it's the familiarize version...
