I thought from your templates that it was just a website builder but CMS seems to be more than that. The Wikipedia article doesn't throw much light on it for me though. Could you give a a simplified explanation of what these are Gibby? I think that would be helpful.

I've been looking into these (Joomla/Drupal/Wordpress) and as I understand them they are for building a website framework into which non-technical users can add and manage content without having to understand all the techie stuff behind the scenes.

I'm thinking of having a go at learning one of these but I'm undecided as to whether to go for Joomla or Drupal. I'll probably got for Joomla as a mid way in compelxity between Drupal and Wordpress.

That's exactly right, Steve. I typically use Joomla simply because that is the one I picked and I now know it quite well.
