A teachable heart is a soft heart that is tender towards God and responsive to receiving truth in humility. A person who is humble in heart is someone who is always seeking the wisdom of God and is dependent on the Holy Spirit. This means we are submitted to His leadership and trusting in Him to lead and guide us into all truth. John 16:13 “But when he, the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come”. He has taken away our heart of stone that is cold towards God and given us a new heart of flesh, one that is responsive to Him and teachable. Ezek 11:19 “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh” .



Exek 11:19 is precious to my heart, and a teachable heart is my heart's desire, as is to love the Lord my God with all my heart, and lean not on my own understanding.

Much of this is related to what I've been thinking about lately. The conflict of our old and new nature. This can lead to compromise and serving two masters. God cannot do anything much through this, and we need to be solely living in Christ and serving Him. In order to be doing true works for His Kingdom and for true fulfillment, that the world can never give.

If we live by our old nature, then we live as an enemy towards God. This cannot please God. So consequently, as we need God's grace for everything, we surely need to confess to God our deeds of our old nature and ask Him to help us to put this to death. So that we can live by God's Spirit, as a son and daughter and not as an enemy to Him. Romans 8:5-17

I think that this is surrending our will, motives and our heart to Christ to be teachable and submitted to the Spirit of Christ, who is the greatest teacher. John 14:26

I think we surrender our will, die to self - in yielding, submitting to God - by Walking in the Spirit each day. Galatians 5:16

So it is .......If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25
