Do you ever get tired??

I am getting older, and nothing seems to be as easy as it once was.....
Just wondering, do you ever just get tired, tired of trying, tired of the "world" as we have made it.......so often, I just want to go HOME!!! I really want to see my Abba, I long for His eyes upon my face, and His words upon my ear.....
Yes, yes, I hear Him in my heart daily, but I just get so very tired of trying to do what is expected of me in this world....I mean work, and just everyday life.....just sort of rambling, I don't know if you understand what I mean....

Oh yes iou JC,,, we all understand, we are all human and face the trials of daily living and yes,,, I for one get very very tired sometimes.

Then,,, either someone reminds me, or I remember how much I am loved and it gives me the strength to face another day

Yup!! HIS strength is all that keeps me going, I couldn't do it on my own....

but aint that the fab thing,,,, we are not alone,,,, if we cannot hear Jesus or the Holy Spirit, ( which without facing a bashing, sometimes I cannot ) then we have our Christian family, same thing different media

Yes iouJC . You just wish He would come quickly, things get on top of you and then you watch the news!
My pastor always reminds us that
"If we suffer, we will also reign with Him....." (2Tim 2:11) God gives us His promise that if we endure to the end "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us: (Rom 8:18)

He writes in our last newsletter
"The Bible is replete with stories of many trials, which God's people had to endure. Christ's example alone tells us that we must remain faithful to the end to receive our reward. This hope in us will see us through our trials. God's strength in us will help us to suffer long. God promises that no trial will overwhelm us, but that we can master it with His help. Take Him at His word. He truly loves us and will support us every step of the way.
Peter who walked on the water, took his eyes off Jesus Christ, allowing himself to sink. Can we learn from this example? Are you're eyes affixed to Christ during your trials? If not, then you are certain to fall the same way as Peter did. Our eyes must continually be on Jesus Christ. We cannot overcome on our own. Know there is a reason and press forward with the assurance that Almighty God, the Great Creator of all,sees everything, knows everything and will deliver you."

I liked that encouragement and thought it fitted in with iouJC's comments.

Yes, I get tired somedays...but then I think how easy I have it compared to those who worry about how to find clean water daily...or how to stay alive in war torn areas. I find that God sends someone to cross my path with an encouraging word, when I am feeling like this. Often this has come my way through this forum
At least my battles are only spiritual, and even then, they are won, even if I doubt.

I think the song "One day at a time, sweet Jesus" is most appropriate here...
