Ah but is doing anything and everything for our children always the right thing?
good things ? God is not the producer of Good Things,,,trouble I have with this view is the awful things that happen to people,,,
God does not protect us from life the same way parents protect their children its completely different... IMO of course,
I believe to save my child's life I would deny God, I would do anything and everything. God does not work this way.
1 John 4:7 Let us love one another, for love is of God.

God's promises never fail
Also, saving our children's lives where - here on earth or in heaven? If we truly believe the Bible then death on this earth is not death at all for Christians, it is just the start of a wonderful new life with God in heaven for ever - not so sure I would want to 'save' my children from that.![]()

Galaen, we are comparing us as parents and God,,, YOU cannot save your children in heaven, nothing to do with you................
Its all very romantic and lovely,,,but purleeeese !!! watch a loony suffocate your children because they are gonna be better off ! yea right !
God watches it happen to one of us

That wasn't what I said Canny. I don't need to save my children because God has already done it for me and He knows how to look after them far better than I can. The only comparison I was making was that if we as human parents know how to look after and care for our children then how much more does God know how to look after His children. Sometimes, just sometimes we actually harm our children by doing everything and anything for our children.

God is the perfect parent Canny - we are the imperfect parents. We have difficulty relating to Him as Father because we have experienced earthly fathers. If we could not relate to God as a perent then He would not have told us He was our Father. Jesus even taught us to pray 'Our Father who art in heaven'. The difficult bit is our understanding of perfect parenting.
