However I do believe in childrens church, and a crying room for those with babies. They can have the sermon piped in so the parents can hear it.
This is my opinion.
And very entitled to it you are
But let me ask you, where would you draw the line between making people feel they are being excluded from worshipping with everyone else ?
When I was a practising Catholic, I would always attend what became known amoungst parishioners, the family mass. It wasn't officially named that, it just sort of, down the years became known as that because as it was at 11am, families with children, I suppose, felt it was a practical time to get children there after breakfast, getting them ready ect ect. Because when you have young children, practicalities do have to have some bearing on it.
At that mass, we would also have quite a few disabled younsters who, through no fault of their own, would become rather loud.
So where would you draw the line between families feeling welcome or excluded from worshipping with everyone else ?
Never be overwhelmed by decisions, just consider the right ones and your options will be far fewer.
