    Some people are to stiff necked an OT term. They forget we are not at church to be entertained. We are there to praise and honor the Lord.
    However I do believe in childrens church, and a crying room for those with babies. They can have the sermon piped in so the parents can hear it.
    This is my opinion.

    Christ doesn,t live in a church,he lives inside of us.

    First off the way I sounded of about the young children I sounded like a ogar, I did not explain myself well and I'm sorry for that.
    I personally believe we need worship and praise music say 10 - 15 mins, I believe it is the best way to get ones mind on what you there for and prepared to hear the message, I personally have felt the touch of the Holy Spirit during the worship sevice. And usually carries over into the main service. I don't care for alot of time on messages from different groups on their activites and upcoming events, it breaks the flow of the service. I'm simply about worship followed by a anointed message end with and invitation to anyone who needs to except Jesus as there personal Lord and Savior, then people who need prayer can come forward and have prayer with perhaps one of the Elders, and they can be anoited with oil. The other stuff can be put in a bulletin or talk about outside the Sanctuary.

    And very entitled to it you are
    But let me ask you, where would you draw the line between making people feel they are being excluded from worshipping with everyone else ?

    When I was a practising Catholic, I would always attend what became known amoungst parishioners, the family mass. It wasn't officially named that, it just sort of, down the years became known as that because as it was at 11am, families with children, I suppose, felt it was a practical time to get children there after breakfast, getting them ready ect ect. Because when you have young children, practicalities do have to have some bearing on it.

    At that mass, we would also have quite a few disabled younsters who, through no fault of their own, would become rather loud.
    So where would you draw the line between families feeling welcome or excluded from worshipping with everyone else ?
    Never be overwhelmed by decisions, just consider the right ones and your options will be far fewer.

    Well First off at my church everyone joins in during worship sevice, Then in childrens church, they learn about bible scriptures and they get their very own childs Bible with alot of pictures to help them understand the Bible stories better they have there own songs to sing like "Jesus Loves Me This I Know" and to me the young ones at getting taught at a good age to lay a foundation for their becoming christians the teachers take turns and I think the cut off age is about 10 years old. No child is forced to go, but I think Childrens Church is a good place to start to learn about Jesus. I taught a class for awile and I was totally suprized at how much they knew, I think some adults would learn more if they helped teach. They have a time for crafts, to me there is nothing like the smiles on a childs face when later on the young ones run to their parents all smiles when they show them their pictures of Jesus they drew. Maybe I did not explain myself very well. We also have a nursery for the toddlers.

    Your doing so well with your answers.

    Thanks.===>

    We''re about to have such a meeting in Nov.

    I would like to be warned; as an obsevant & concerned member of the church, about the possible questions that are most likely to be

    answered that would help the church grow. Wether it be numerically, spiritually or in the practical ''every day running of it.

    Thanks for your consideration.

    if Christ is the body of God,and we the body of Christ, then the church should reflect us ,and i don,t mean us in the middle ages.
