Never be overwhelmed by decisions, just consider the right ones and your options will be far fewer.
Praise God! We all have that privilege (John 2:20, 27), but many think these verses mean that we are not to listen to teachers of the Word God has appointed - of course, that erases much of the NT, like Ephesians 4:11-16, etc.
The only knowledge I have that remains in my Swiss cheese brain is that which God puts there. I trust Him implicitly to keep His promises of giving us His wisdom freely and generously, being led into all truth by His Spirit, remembering what Jesus taught (which really includes all of Scripture), being given the mind of Christ, etc.
I think we believe in the lie of our flesh when we think we cannot understand His Word, in view of all these provision and precious promises. I've known brothers who learned to read, then taught from, the bible - the evil one loves it when one of us says "I can't know that - that's too hard for me".
True, but we have the mind of Christ, and can do (including understanding His Word, which is spiritually discerned) all things by admitting our weakness, that His strength is gloriously shown through these weak earthen vessels.
Praise our Father of Lights and all good gifts!
In His love,
Bill
