    Lightbulb Patience

Been thinking about patience, and how we all need more patience, for answered prayer, whatever they may be.
Patience I think comes with christian maturity. It takes time.

Does anyone want to share with us how God has taught you patience?

It would be great to hear some testimonies around this subject.

(I don't have one, because I am by nature impatient!! )
    Psalm 16:5-7

Friends are like stars ~ even when you can't see them they are still there.

I remember an early lesson in patience. It came from playing soccer at university. I was a defender, and one day the ball was just in front of the opposition striker. As he lined up to power the ball into the net, I got my foot in the way, just as he hit the ball with full force...... and my ankle ended up very much worse for wear - sprained so badly I was out for the rest of the season, waiting for it to heal. It also meant I had to go to the college nurse several times to get it re-bandaged, which meant just sitting outside her room, waiting.

I didn't much like the waiting - but it did help me learn more patience!

This has come to my mind Wabco

    Hebrews 12:1-3
1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

3For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
