So what exactly are you saying Dan? That because God has no form that Jesus is not God? God is able to take on whatever form He needs to take on to speak to us if necessary
We aren't praying the " our Mother " as yet either.
Never be overwhelmed by decisions, just consider the right ones and your options will be far fewer.

God's promises never fail
I know that many people have read the “Shack” and think this is some kind of new Revelation that helps them understand God. But for over 2000 yrs we have had a revelation of God and His nature before us in the form of the Bible. But in the book “The Shack” we are given a new revelation of God that does not fit the parameters of the God from the scriptures. The majority of The Shack's references to Scripture are negative in their tone. They do not affirm the Bible as God’s perfect revelation to us, but instead focus on its abuse at the hands of those who profess Christ or on supposed old-fashioned notions about it. In this book the main character says this about the scriptures
In this book “The Shack” the importance of the scriptures is seriously downplayed and we are introduced to a new way of revelation from God outside the parameters of the scriptures. The main influence on the writer of this book are the teachers of the Emergent Church. The overall principle sought by this book is “Universal Salvation whether you are Christian or not” This is seen by the character that portrays Jesus sayingGod’s voice had been reduced to paper, and even that paper had to be moderated and deciphered by the proper authorities and intellects. It seemed that direct communication with God was something exclusively for the ancients and uncivilized, while educated Westerners’ access to God was mediated and controlled by the intelligentsia. Nobody wanted God in a box, just in a book. Especially an expensive one bound in leather with gilt edges, or was that guilt edges” (Page 65-66)
If you read “The Shack” in light of the scriptures you will see a different and distorted portrayal of the true character of God.“Who said anything about being a Christian? I’m not a Christian.”
"Those who love me come from every system that exists. They were Buddhists or Mormons, Baptists or Muslims.... I have no desire to make them Christian,” (page 182 of The Shack)
But this is not scripture, I do not understand the overthinking of a simple novel.
Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. ....................

But the problem is that many people now base their beliefs and understanding of God on this book. They have not taken the time to see if the things written have any scriptural basis. If the book is not scripturally sound then why laud it as the best Christian fiction that you have read. Why support anything that causes a distorted view of the one True God (the Father not “Papa” the older black woman named Elousia)? But this is not scripture, I do not understand the overthinking of a simple novel.
There are many other things that you have to embrace to read the “Shack” and one of those is the use of profanity in the book. This is completely inappropriate in this culture.
A believing Christian should be appalled at this statement about Jesus that was made in this book
This is a direct attack on the Godhood of Jesus, of His place in the Godhead when He was on earth. How can you read or recommend a book that directly assaults the Deity of Jesus even if they call it fiction. He did so as a dependent, limited human being trusting in my life and power to be at work within him and through him. Jesus, as a human being, had no power within himself to heal anyone (pg 100)
In all actualities this book should not be called Christian fiction because it basically denies all that is truly Christian.
